PINK DESSERTS 2024 Charity Sale is officially launched, organized by the Hong Kong Hereditary Breast Cancer Family Registry ("THE REGISTRY"), inviting everyone to embark on a sweet journey to support patients with hereditary breast, ovarian, and prostate cancers, as well as their families. During the campaign period from August to October, part or all the sales proceeds from every designated PINK DESSERT or product at participating merchants will be donated to THE REGISTRY. These funds will support underserved high-risk cancer patients with genetic mutations and their family members by providing genetic testing, counseling, and other clinical services.
With support from over 20 merchants this year, including five-star hotels, restaurant groups, coffee shops, beverage chains, and online stores, THE REGISTRY invites you to “Hunt for Sweet Hope.” By exploring participating merchants across the city and discovering and enjoying unique themed desserts, you can help THE REGISTRY raise funds to provide appropriate services for cancer patients with genetic mutations and their family members. The Registry is launching the "Sweet Pink Mission "! Share in the city's pink sweetness, support hereditary breast cancer patients, and stand a chance to win five-star hotel buffet vouchers. Participating is simple:
1. Enjoy Pink Desserts: Visit any participating restaurant or merchant and purchase the designated pink desserts or drink.
2. Follow the Registry's Social Accounts: Follow the official account @AsiaBreastRegistry on Facebook and Instagram.
3. Share and Tag: Share a photo of your dessert with the event hashtag #pinkdesserts2024. on Facebook or Instagram Stories/Post, tag @AsiaBreastRegistry.

About Us
The Hong Kong Hereditary Breast Cancer Family Registry (“THE REGISTRY”) is the only and first-ever charitable organization. Established in 2007, THE REGISTRY is dedicated to helping the high-risk families who have hereditary risk of breast, ovarian and prostate cancer due to BRCA gene mutations. We also aim to advance and standardize clinical care by formulating preventative measures through data collection, research, public education, counseling and supportive care services in reducing the incidence of hereditary cancers in Chinese population. Currently, THE REGISTRY has the largest database and biobank of hereditary breast cancers specimens in Chinese which would facilitate better understanding of the disease locally and globally.
We have helped over 6,100 individuals (including more than 4,700 index patients) and over 1,200 mutation carriers have been identified. Some of them have been referred for breast surveillance or other support at THE REGISTRY designated high-risk breast clinic for better disease management.
