Breast Concern Action 2017

This year marks the 7^th year of our annual public education event Brest Concern Action (BRCA) and the 10^th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Hereditary Breast Cancer Family Registry (The REGISTRY). In order to spread the message of hereditary cancers more clearly, our theme for BRCA 2017 is ‘Less Uncertainty’ which we aim to help the general public to understand more about family medical history and personal health conditions to make better plans for the future.

To celebrate the 10^th Anniversary of The REGISTRY, BRCA 2017 ‘Less Uncertainty’ invited 9 celebrities who have supported our organization in the past years, together with The REGISTRY Chairman Dr. Ava Kwong to feature in our event visual. The visual was shot in March by the renowned photographer CK@Secret9. The 10 celebrities also filmed a promotion video themed ‘To myself in 10 years time’ which was edited and produced by the award-winning video editor Mr. Wong Hoi and his team. Each celebrity shared a wish to herself in 10 years time as well as views on a healthy life and what they think about cancer. Ms. Charlene Choi said in the video ‘Falling ill is not a scary thing because there must be a cure for it, so I encourage everyone to face and attend to their physical conditions’. Ms. Jessica Hsuan expressed that she has started to understand health is more important than wealth, without a healthy body to enjoy life, having an abundant amount of wealth is worthless. The interviews and behind-the-scene video will be played during the exhibitions and are not to be missed.

Breast Concern Action 2017 Kick Off Ceremony

Breast Concern Action 2017 kick off ceremony will be held on the 25^th April 2017 at 3pm at the Covered Piazza, Times Square, Causeway Bay. Hosted by Ms. Akina Fong, the event will be joined by The Registry Chairman Dr. Ava Kwong, Creative Director and TLC Ambassador Mr. Enrico Kwong and other celebrity ambassadors to officiate and support this meaningful event that raises awareness to hereditary cancers in the general public.
