5th Race with Pink Heels 2015

One of the most eye-catching events in town "5th Race with Pink Heels", was successfully held at Stanley Main Street on the 22nd November, 2015. Blessed with the sunny weather and clear blue sky, all participants and guests spent a cheerful Sunday at the event.

The opening ceremony started at 12pm. Dr. Ava Kwong expressed her thanks to all guests and the neighborhood for their support and introduced the development of the Registry. She was interviewed by MC Mr. Cyrus Chow on her newly released book and Ambassador Ms. Joey Yung was invited on stage to share her feelings about the book and her contribution in writing the preface. This year, fashion designer Mr. Dorian Ho specially designed a pair of pink heels manufactured by Le Saunda and decorated with Swarovski crystals for the event, he shared his design concept on stage and presented the photos to models of the photo exhibition organized jointly with Marie Claire, Ms. Fei Ping Chang and Ms. Christine Au Yeung, making the event a stylish and fashionable one.

The race this year was divided into 5 categories, Men/Women Individual, Team, Family and Dog & Buddy. The winners of the Men/ Women Individual race were Lui Ka Ho and Joyce Cheung Ting Yan respectively. To make the event more interesting, the team race was designed with new obstacles where 1 competitor needed to run with a huge balloon carried on the back and the other members had to be inside a big inflated heel and the 4 members had to finish the race together. The race was not only exciting, but through it, we hope to raise awareness of hereditary cancer. There was also a "Best Costume" award to encourage participants to dress in pink and show support for the Registry, which the winner of the award was the Ecco team.
